Cordoba was founded by the Roman 'Claudius Marcellus' in 152 BC. The city flourished artistically and culturally during the Arab occupation (from 711 to 1236, when it was retaken by Christian armies) and is unique worldwide due to its Arab heritage and charm. In the 10th century, it was declared the capital of 'Al Andalus', reaching the status of Caliphate in 929 under the rule of Abd al-Rahman III. The Mosque/Cathedral is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Our representative-guide will meet participants at their hotels on the coast and depart towards Cordoba. Upon arrival, free time for independent sightseeing. Optional local free tour reservation available. In the afternoon, return to Costa del Sol and hotels.
